The City of Belmont announced the appointment of Kevin Kobayashi as the new Parks, Recreation, and Culture Director. Kobayashi will begin his role on April 27.

With current recreational use, the park abounds with finch, towhees, quail, deer, bobcats, wild turkeys, rabbits, lizards, woodrats, snakes, and, yes, waterdogs! These animals have adapted to human uses of Waterdog for over 100 years.

Cyclists are the main contributors to trail work at Waterdog, donating over 500 hours of trail work per year.
